On the Horizons Tribute, Diznee72 has posted these two very interesting pictures of what's going on behind those construction walls. While the front sits silent (and darn ugly), they've continued to rip out the back of the building. While they're leaving the supports and roof up, they're digging in from behind, taking every little bit of building with 'em. So the back is a huge overhang - I've heard you can still see set pieces in there - guess they didn't bother making the effort to save them. At least they're plowing forward with the effort to knock down the building, and putting it (and us) out of our misery.
